Coach Karen Flores, the CEO and founder of KAFT Coaching, is originally from Mexico City. She came to the U.S. when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord and obtained her B.A. in Psychology at SFSU, where she also took some graduate classes of the M.A Counseling Program. Coach Karen’s certifications are in Theology from the Diocese of Oakland and The University of Santa Clara, and 7 different certifications in Coaching including..

She is also a certified Mental Health First Aider.
Karen has worked with the youth and young adults for over 17 years, at different levels and roles. As a mentor volunteer, program coordinator and as director of programs and curriculum developer.
Her main passion is to help people finding their strengths and developing them. She has been a strengths consultant for about 13 years. She also loves reading and spending time serving her community.
Karen is a mother of four, three biological (Isaac, Kiatzary and Ariel) and one of heart (Henry). She has been married for 16 years and shares the passion for youth ministry and wellness with her husband Ernesto.
Throughout the many years that Karen has worked with families, she has noticed the great need of Social Emotional Skills at every age, which moved her to establish the KAFT Coaching, Personal Development Academy, which addresses different areas of potential development.
